What is the essence of life? The main quality of life is that life is highly life extending. We can frustrate our will to live, or we can identify with it and enhance its implementation. Either way, individual life extension serves as an objective standard for a moral, legal and economic system. Active life extension is the highest goal that any individual can hold for itself. To extend life we have to identify and combat the various causes of death, without threatening individual lives in the process. To not threaten individual lives we have to respect individual autonomy, private property, freedom of travel and trade and the most cultivated principles of due process. To develop life extending treatments and to make these affordable to the general public, require a lot of basic research, medical research and entreprenenurial activity. Historically and logically, this can best be done in a society where individual autonomy, entrepreneurial liberty and private property are constitutionally protected. The safest system is also the freest and most value maximizing system. Life extension and entrepreneurial liberty go hand in hand. The more of us that are free, the more value any one of us can create. One way to get more entrepreneurial liberty is to join still larger free travel and trade federations like the European Union or The North American Free Trade Association. Thus I recommend that we join EU, work to remove all internal travel and trade barriers, work to include still more countries, not just in Europe, but from around the globe, aim at combining EU, Russia, the North American Free Trade Association and China, into one large free travel and trade zone, and aim at gradually removing all travel and trade restrictions between the larger free market and the rest of the world. Let us create a still larger free travel and trade zone, where there are no passport-, visa- or work permit requirements, but where anyone can travel and trade freely at ones own cost, where private property is respected, and anyone can settle or work wherever they can buy or rent a location. Let us create a world, where the United Nations enforce open borders, and unrestricted travel and trade along public right-of- ways anywhere, and crack down upon any local police state that violates the universal unalienable right to (individual) life, entrepreneurial liberty and the (honest) pursuit of private property. Let us stop using protectionism against protectionism and instead make it a felony to work for any border patrol, to demand passports, visas and work permits, to collect customs, to subsidize domestic production or to enforce quotas for travel and trade. Let us make it a crime against humanity to discriminate against people based on whether they were born domestically or abroad. Let us take steps to secure that the color of the majority or the color of those in office no longer matters, because governments are checked and balanced to the extent that they lack the power to do any harm. For all future elections, let us open voter registration to anyone who happens to be in an area a month before election time, so that anyone who cares to vote can register to vote and so that giving one's finger prints is all it takes to be registered to vote, and giving a matching set of finger prints is all it takes to later be crossed off as having voted with no request being made for name, address, birth certificate, or proof of nationality. Let us set no age limits on voting, so that anyone who thinks himself or herself old enough to vote can register to vote. And let us make English our official language, so to make it the easiest for all to communicate, create value and settle conflicts. Let us create a world where we are all citizens, where we all can travel and trade freely, and where noone is forbidden to travel, trade, visit relatives, own land, settle, work or vote based on where they happened to be born. Let us make the world a global village, where we can all do our best, each to pursue one's own life extension, by honest rights respecting means and without being a threat to the life, liberty and property of one another. That is my vision of a better future. We have the opportunity to actively pursue one free world, to be an active player in an expanding free travel and trade zone, and to let the best and the brightest among us pursue international office, so to secure the right to life and liberty including freedom of travel and trade for still more of us now and all of us in the future. Thus I call upon anyone of any nationality whether you can vote or not, to join in the effort to make Norway available to the rest of the world, and the rest of the world available to Norwegians. In case the population once again is afraid of entrepreneurial liberty and equal treatment under the law, let me (in a separate article) suggest the creation of new freeports as a solution to fall back upon so that those of us who are not afraid of joining the rest of the world, can still get a chance to join.
