The objective foundation of morality
and classical laissez faire capitalism,

by trygveb@powertech.No

Morality has to do with goals. Goals are integrations. Integrations take time to integrate and implement. The more time you have at hand the higher goals you have the time to integrate and implement. Which should make it clear that individual life extension is a prerequisite for integrating and implementing the highest possible goals.

Rights are principles for drawing domain lines among individuals or for deciding in what situation to respect what persons will. The question is what rights do we have to respect in order to best be able to extend our lives as individuals?

To extend lives we have to identify and overcome all main causes of death. This takes a lot of scientific, and entrepreneurial efforts. Historically and logically individuals can best maximize values in a laissez faire capitalistic society.

There are many other aspects of this, but I just wanted to start a dialog pointing out that individual life extension is the essence of what life is all about, and the only objective foundation for a moral system, and also the objective justification for and key to natural law, and classical laissez faire capitalism.

Happiness is when there is no contradiction between one's desires, will and action. The more one can take into account of one's past , present and future and still have no contradiction between what one desire , what one will and what one do, the happier one is.

The essence of life is that life is highly life extending. If you frustrate your inbound life extending reaction or will to go on living, then you are not as happy as you would have been if you had not frustrated this will. The highest heights of happiness and joy thus go hand in hand with the uttermost individual life extension.

In other words individual life extension is the given objective goal and foundation of a moral system, and the objective goal and moral foundation for a legal system too.

Natural law is an attempt at calculating rationally what principles of right we have to respect to best be able as individuals to each extend one's own life. The government doesn't decide what is right or wrong, it merely fails or succeeds at acknowledging the difference.
